Spinning day!
I’m production spinning today… The weather is too cold to start dye works still (although I have ordered more dyes), so as I need new web and show stock I have started to spin. I’m working on a few different product ideas and playing with colour… Making it fun and varied makes for a happy sweat shop right?! Lol!! Talking of spinning… Crediton spinning group meets...
Cast off a cowl I started 4 D last night. Good job as he’s making me watch a subtitled film. Can’t knit, watch, read & count at same time!
I started a new needlefelt project this afternoon...

She hand spun it and used it for colour fair isle knitting, which became a headband for her shop.

Some time ago Helen purchased a 100g bump of my Limited Edition colour ‘Nightfall’, which is a Merino blend at www.SarasTextureCrafts.com She set about learning to spindle spin with the fibre that day and came back to see me at several shows after to show me the progress.

Spindle spinning with my new spindle distaff
Isn’t it lovely? I bought this wrist distaff from an Etsy shop called DAYSTAR07. Beautifully crafted and brightly coloured I’m thrilled with it… It works like a dream, holding my pre-drafted fibre as I spin. It’s perfect for taking out with me on days out, spinning groups and shows. I noticed that the seller also had rainbow crochet hooks… I need to nudge myself...
