Dye Days at Last!
I’m really pleased that the weather is starting to change… Finally it means I can set yarns more quickly and start dyeing yarn and fibre! Here are some things I’m currently waiting to dry. Needlefelting progress... Devon County Show...
After spinning some yarn today I thought I’d better get to grips with some of the gifts I’m making for the stand. These needlefelt gardens will compliment my demo (or that’s the idea!) A fair bit left to do… But at least it’s a start, right?!
I’m going to a Farm tomorrow to take a look at new fleece for the shop… Yay!

Spring Time and Earth Mother.
Over the last few days I’ve been enjoying the first signs of spring… A bumble bee by the window, my salad potatoes starting to grow (picture) and my return to the dye room. I’m so happy to be back to dyeing and am pleased to share with you my first pictures of the first dye batch… Earth Mother, which is a beautiful rich mix of green, moss and yellow, inspired by Spring....

This is a simple pattern using my handdyed yarns.
Skill Level – Beginner
Yarn – Sara’s Texture Crafts
Aran weight, Shetland or BFL base. Hand dyed.
165m (180yrds) per 100g.
You can use a hand spun yarn; you are looking for an 8 WPI finished yarn.
